Welcome to
GRASP
What does GRASP stand for?
GRASP stands for...
"the GOSPEL REACHING ALL of SOUTHERN PERU."
It describes God's call on our ministry to reach all of the Hispanics (Non-Indigenous) in Southern Peru with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What does GRASP do?
GRASP is a Southern Peru church planting strategy of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Grasp exists for the purpose of reaching the unreached Hispanics in Southern Peru.
Where does GRASP serve?
GRASP’s area covers the major cities south of Lima, Peru, the capital city, and some of the smaller areas as well. Some of these cities include Arequipa, Ica, Cusco, Nazca, Puno, and Tacna. Our main focus is the people whose heart language is Spanish. There is an estimated 5 million Hispanics in this area with over 1 million in the city of Arequipa and surrounding areas. It is estimated that less than 2% of the population is evangelized. At this time, our team is focused on the cities of Arequipa and Ica.
How can I be a part of GRASP?
1. The most important way is to pray for our ministry. Be a prayer partner.
2.Give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering or to the SBC Cooperative Program. All of our support is received through these.
3. Join us in ministry by serving with us in Southern Peru.
